Recently I had a chat about the goofy things we all used to do when we were kids and it brought back a goofy memory.

My brother and I had seen an episode of Batman where Batman was frozen by Mr.Freeze. It was pretty cool.

After the episode we thought we’d do the same. We put him in the freezer. When he was frozen we took him out. We were expecting something pretty awesome to happen. Things didn’t go quite according to plan though. Instead of breaking out of the ice like in the cartoon we broke off his arm. The freezer had made him super stiff and 8 year old kids are stronger than you think.

At the time this was huge. I mean HUGE. A new Batman toy broken! It was a cool Batman too, he was orange and had a parachute thing. He wasn’t one of the toys you get off your aunt which goes into the bad guy pile. It was my brother’s toy so he was the one who grieved properly, but still.

Moral of the story, don’t put Batman in the freezer.
